Captain

Captain Bill Kokis has fished the East Coast, West Coast, Gulf Coast, Caribbean, Sea of Cortez, and the Mediterranean Sea.  Grandfather William Kokis was a lifelong commercial fisherman and made his entire living off the Sea.  The salt runs 4 generations deep with Captain Bill as well as having an avid knowledge of the water.  Bill has held a Master U.S. Merchant Marine Officer License since 2005, and has been boating/fishing avidly since childhood.  Graduating/Majoring in Marine Biology gives him a scientific edge and a great appreciation for our marine resources.  He is also a good person, aside from the comradery which comes naturally while fishing!

Tackle and Methods

The FishNut is equipped with Avet reels, and class matched rods to handle the best fishing in Long Island Sound.  If you prefer, bring your own personal fishing outfit that you feel comfortable with.  All bait and terminal tackle supplied and rigs are hand tied with the best materials available.  Methods include anchoring, drifting, jigging, and trolling depending on conditions, season, and species.  We also will accommodate for a pleasure or sunset cruise.
